Do I need internet for a POS system to work?
IdealPOS can operate without an internet connection. An internet connection is required for licensing, but in the event of an outage that lasts more than 14 days, a temporary license can be arranged. Some other functions, such as online ordering, downloading invoices or emailing customer accounts, do require an internet connection, but for normal day-to-day operations, IdealPOS does not stop working if your internet goes down.
Can a POS system track inventory?
Yes! IdealPOS has a robust stock control system with the ability to receive stock, write off stock, manufacture items from components or ingredients and perform stock takes, both manual and with a PDE (portable data entry) device.
